Queer Threads
Queer Threads explores the ways quilts and textile works have been used to articulate LGBTQ+ experience through the material language of cloth. Drawing on the long associations between textile practice, intimacy, and domestic space, the artists represented in the exhibition employ quilting as a means of personal reflection, historical acknowledgment, and cultural expression. Their works demonstrate how textile traditions can be adapted to address questions of identity, memory, and belonging, revealing the quilt as a powerful medium through which queer histories and perspectives can be made visible.
